Kapsch BusinessCom becomes K-Businesscom
Vienna, April 2022: In summer 2021, Kapsch BusinessCom AG was spun off from the Kapsch Group with a new ownership structure and has been operating as an independent company in the DACH region, the Czech Republic and Romania ever since. As of April 1, 2022, KBC will now have a new company name: Kapsch BusinessCom AG will become K-Businesscom AG.
The Kapsch Group - a fourth-generation family business - can look back on almost 130 years of history. Its success has always been based on the fact that the Group has continuously developed and reinvented itself over the years. K-Businesscom emerged from the Kapsch Group as a leading ICT solution and service provider. The "K initial" in the new K-Businesscom logo represents precisely this Kapsch DNA and history, which the new company builds on.
In mid-2021, Dr. Kari Kapsch acquired a majority stake in KBC as part of the restructuring of the Kapsch Group, Invest Unternehmensbeteiligungs AG acquired a stake of around 22% and the two board members of K-Businesscom AG, Dr. Franz Semmernegg and Jochen Borenich, hold around 10% of the shares.
K-Businesscom is a local digitalization partner that combines certified technology expertise with industry know-how as a consultant and end-to-end digital business engineer. The company develops new business models with its customers on its own KBC platforms with IOT, AI and customer-specific software applications. It also supports its customers on their cloud transformation journey and in setting up smart offices. Its own KBC Cyber Defense Center provides 24/7 protection against cyber attacks. KBC's turnover amounted to 460 million euros in the last financial year.
The basis for all this is the many years of experience of over 1,550 KBC employees as the market leader for network solutions, collaboration, data center infrastructure, security and managed services. Combined with the technologies and services of international manufacturers such as Cisco, Microsoft, HPE and AWS.
"We are convinced that digital technologies can create value, protect the environment and improve our standard of living," explains Jochen Borenich, CEO of K-Businesscom. "With our digitalization expertise, we therefore want to make a significant contribution to promoting the European data economy in conjunction with corresponding sustainability in the coming years."
