Current results and some of our targets by the end of the calendar year 2025 (Dec. 31, 2025)
- Train journeys from 1.1.2021 - 31.12.2021 saved 25.7 tons of CO2.
- Train journeys from 1.1.2022 - 31.12.2022 saved 50.5 tons of CO2.
- Train journeys from 1.1.2023 to 31.12.2023 will save 69.2 tons of CO2.
Austrian Federal Railways offers companies attractive opportunities to travel by train instead of by car, measures the CO2 savings with the help of the booking history and reports them once a year.
- CO2 savings of 0.14%: 2 electric vehicles were registered as company vehicles by 31.12.2021
- CO2 savings of 1.1%: 13 electric vehicles were registered as company vehicles by 31.12.2022
- CO2 savings of 3.0%: 35 electric vehicles were registered as company vehicles by 31.12.2023
In concrete terms, this means that we want to have 136 registered electric vehicles by 31.12.2025. Conversely, this means that there will be 136 fewer vehicles with combustion engines on the roads.
- Savings of 1.84% compared to the previous year: In calendar year 2021, the average carbon footprint of an employee was 3.4 tons
- Negative savings of 16% compared to the previous year: In calendar year 2022, the average CO2 footprint of an employee was 4.0 tons
- 4.3% savings compared to the previous year: In calendar year 2023, the average CO2 footprint of an employee was 3.8 tons
CANCOM Austria AG is committed to the goal of reducing the average CO2 footprint of an employee to a value of 3.4 tons by the end of the calendar year 2025, which corresponds to a 15% reduction in the average CO2 footprint per employee by the end of the calendar year 2025.
These values only take into account parameters relating to the professional environment and professional activities. Private behavior cannot be taken into account.
- In calendar year 2021, the photovoltaic system produced 107 MWh. We convert this energy value into 27.6 tons of CO2 savings/offsetting.
- In calendar year 2022, the photovoltaic system produced 172 MWh. We convert this energy value into 44.3 tons of CO2 savings/offsetting.
- In calendar year 2023, the photovoltaic system produced 153 MWh. We convert this energy value into 39.5 tons of CO2 savings/offsets.
This generated energy has a positive impact on the energy balance of our building.
- In calendar year 2021, a total of 60 tons of CO2 were saved through various measures
- In calendar year 2022, a total of 150 tons of CO2 were saved through various measures
- In calendar year 2023, a total of 258 tons of CO2 were saved through various measures.
Measuring points are constantly being added, parameters checked and adjusted so that the result of CO2 savings across the entire company becomes more and more accurate.
